What to say in the first message?

I experience that dating sites work just like in real life when it comes to the fact that girls seem to expect the guys to make the first contact. I have some girl friends that literally get bombed with messages whilst another one (me) hardly get any vistors and rarely any messages. Could of course also be a result of my lack of skill when it comes to online dating, I´m learning though ;)
Anyway, what would you suggest that one could write in the first message? My guess is that you somehow must stand out from the crowd and avoid everything that is to common, like "Hi, how are you?", "You seem to be an interesting girl" or "Hey cutie, what are you up to tonight?"

Any suggestions from the Premium Pimp team? :)

Hi,

First of all I recomend you to search for girls that are online, that option is usually possible to select. Also limit your search to girls living close enough. Don't just fall for the pictures, if she lives houndreds of km away it's usually a waste of time anyway.

This is really quite logic, what would you do if your mailbox was filled up with standardmessages? Naturally reply to those who are online and live nearby.

Don't use words like cutie, babe or anything like that. Vary a little, as it is sunday today something like: "Hi, you seem like fun (the name of the girl or her alias). Relaxed and open attitude towards this. (add a question that relates to her profile). Had any fun in the weekend?" And then something like regards and your name.

This is enough, you have shown your interest but not in a desparate way. She will reply and you have a discussion going that you can easily move into subjects she is interested in.

Good luck!
