I noticed an increase in replies from girls when I changed username to Gusty. My previous username was Gnarfskt, which apperantly didn't attract the girls in the same way...

Indeed Gusty, the alias is importent in the first phase. It catches the eye. Gusty is a good alias especially if you are involved in sports like sailing, surfing or anything else that explains your choice. Or why not... Just say that you are? Most activities like these; surfing, kiting, climbing and martial arts like MMA, thai or kickboxing will strengthen the alpha male attraction.

However make sure that you can at least keep up a shorter discussuion about your chosen interests.
