Shall I pay for the beer on the first date?

Several dates I´ve been to have taken place at bars where you take orders. You chat and drink some beers with your date until it's time to leave and pay for your orders... I always wonder what the girl expect for me.
Shall I pay for her or shall I just pay my own order?
I mean, paying her order is of course nice, but what signals do I send out by doing so? I sometimes feel like I pay only to increase my chances to get laid, like I´m buying her approval. Perhaps do I by paying her order send out the message that "I know that I have less value than you, but if I pay your order then maybe you're more willing to have sex with me?

What´s your advice when it comes to buying stuff to your dates?

This differs a little between countries and cultures. In the states for example you are expected på pay for everything on a date. In Scandinavia it's up to you and in some sence your economy I guess...

My standard is to decide what happens after before it's time to pay, as you have probably read in the guidebook the discussion should be about sex and you then either go home and try her out or you failed. If you failed and she comes with some excuse not to join you I let her pay her own drinks... If she goes with me the alpa male thing is to just pay like it's of no matter for you, don't even look at the bill just hand them your card or throw some bills at the table, drag her up and kiss her before you head home like there is no alternative.

Another strategy I have tried is to change the order, drag her up, kiss her and start to move... Let her remember that you should pay or let the waitress stop you... Then you give her the chance to pay if she wants to and you were just to into her at the moment to think about money. Alpha males don't think or talk about money... never... If she doesn't pay right away you need to do it and not care about it.

If you have a limited economy, go to a cheap bar.

During one of my successful attempts, I remember that i actually let the girl pay for me! This was no conscious plan on my part I actually felt to lazy to get attention by the bartender when I knew a pair of tits would..

But it did turn out to be in my favor.. I think? Because of me asking her to do something for me and she applied did I not strengthen my alpha male status? Even though it was not perhaps the gentleman manner thing to do.. but again I never claimed to be one
